Dorothy Gauvin

Australia |

A 'big canvas' painter, Gauvin has developed a montage technique
to capture the vast scope of Australia's outback and to add the dimension of time to the stories in her pictures. Her research is as meticulous as the wealth of detail she lavishes on her scenes of life on the cattle station or drover's track, in the bush pub or the crowded city. In 1984, the artist made a five-month study tour of the great galleries of Europe and was fired with the desire to show and to share all that being Australian means to her. The result was the start of her on-going Australia's Heritage series. An early group of the paintings was toured in Los Angeles and San Francisco the
following year. 123 Gauvin paintings have been collected in four best-seller books. Her works hang in public and parliament galleries, private
and corporate collections throughout Australia, and in Europe,
Canada and the United States.

Creating in watercolor, pastel or graphite is a life long pursuit in
addition to extensive undergraduate and graduate studies in other area and a full year of study solely in Art Studio. Graphic designs for local
events and illustration projects have been another satisfying artistic outlet. I enjoy the challenge of commissions as well as the joy of
creating art for myself. Hollis has a way of breathing life into the
paintings whether it be a portrait of a person or a pet, a still life or a
landscape.

Frank Baggett
is a Tennessean born July 11, 1956 and a nationally acclaimed
Landscape and Wildlife artist with over 34 years experience.
With a major in art during his high school years and a
scholarship to Austin Peay State University, Frank opted to
join the United States Air Force and continued to paint during
his tour at Norton AFB in San Bernadino, California. Painting
had become a passion for Frank, and after discharge from the
USAF his Impressionistic style was refined, and became his
trademark for many of his works that are now displayed in many
art galleries both in the United States, and Internationally.
Frank has many mentors which include Robert Wood, and Winslow
Homer.
Conservation
is a deep concern to Frank, as vast tracts of land that
were once thriving with wildlife are slowly becoming parking
lots, or even cities. He has committed himself to conservation
organizations such as The National Wild Turkey Federation,
Ducks Unlimited, and many other associations
and societies. Many of his works will be on display and for sale this year
at several Wildlife Festivals which will be listed on the web
site under the link: 2010 Show Schedule. He is a member of
The Nashville Artist Guild of which is one of the oldest juried
Guilds in Nashville, Tennessee and a registered artist in
the Metro Nashville Arts Commission. As well as a new
2010 member of Paint America with his winning painting titled:
